Grothendieck House
Submissions

On submitting work.

Write to submissions@grothendieckhouse.com

We acquire by invitation and by query. We are looking for authors who have spent a decade or more on a single structural problem and are ready to publish the result.

We are not looking for proposals built around a platform, a moment, or a trend.

If you believe your work belongs in this house, write to us at submissions@grothendieckhouse.com with a short letter describing what the book builds — not what it covers. We read every letter.

What to include

1. A letter, not a pitch. Two to four paragraphs.

2. A description of what the book builds, in plain language.

3. A sample chapter or substantial excerpt.

4. A brief note on what you have been thinking about for the past ten years.

What not to include

1. Platform metrics. Social following. Speaking history.

2. Marketing copy or comparable-title language.

3. A request for a meeting before we have read anything.

Response time
We respond to every letter within sixty days. A response of “no” is not a verdict on the work — it is a statement that the work does not belong in this particular house.
A note before sending

Describe what the book builds — not what it covers.

The house is not looking for platform, trend, or pitch language. It is looking for work that has become structurally necessary.

If the book belongs here, the letter should make that architecture visible.
